A Year Built on Clarity and Connection

In 2025, more women reached out for information that felt trustworthy and easy to understand. Many searched for answers about symptoms, safer contraceptive choices, or how to advocate for themselves in clinical settings. In response, the Foundation expanded educational content and created additional tools to help women recognize blood clot risks and take action early.

The Informed Choices Roundtable played a central role. Specifically, it brought together leading clinicians and student health experts in a shared space where they could speak candidly about gaps in contraceptive conversations and how to address them. As a result, their insight informed the development of new resources for women in clinics, campus health centers, and homes throughout the country.

The Power of a Strong Clinical Voice

One of the most meaningful developments this year involved the appointment of Dr. Vian Nguyen as the Foundation’s Medical Advisor. Her clinical expertise and her deep understanding of women’s health helped refine the language and structure of our educational materials. Similarly, her guidance strengthened accuracy, increased clarity, and reinforced the Foundation’s commitment to evidence-based communication. Because of this, her presence signaled growth and added a trusted voice that will support the Foundation’s next phase of work.

Growing Reach and Deeper Engagement

This shift shows that women are not only seeking information about their health and clot symptoms. They want guidance that feels careful, credible, and compassionate. In many ways, digital growth signals rising awareness, but it also confirms the value of having a central, trusted place to learn.

Listening to Women, Learning From Women

Women drive the most potent moments in this report. For instance, you hear it in stories about early symptoms, delayed diagnoses, and the instant someone realizes something feels wrong. A different kind of insight comes through accounts that reveal the reality behind the statistics and show how care feels when a patient goes unheard. Taken together, these voices work to shape the Foundation’s mission and keep the work grounded in honest experience.

A Message That Guides the Way Forward

David Rowan’s reflection in the Stewardship Report underscores the heart behind every project. While the organization’s work began as a way to honor David’s daughter, Alexandra, and to help prevent other families from experiencing the same loss. Today, however, that mission reaches women nationwide. It grows through shared stories, clinical insight, and the generosity of people who believe in the power of education to protect health.

Our 2025 Stewardship Report captures a year filled with progress and purpose. In addition, it points to continued growth and exciting new projects that will support awareness and prevention in the year ahead.
